GFP Annual Meeting: "From Research to Operations: Advancing Global Flood Forecasting and Operational Hydrology"

I’m delighted to announce that Professor Zsófia Kugler from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary, will be hosting the 2025 Global Flood Partnership (GFP) Annual Meeting, September 15 to 17th, 2025.
 

From 22 to 24 March 2011, the International Workshop on Global Flood Monitoring and Forecasting gathered 20 scientific experts and 4 humanitarian organisations and 2 insurance groups to discuss the state of the art in this new and multi-disciplinary field.

From 19 to 21 March 2012, the Second International Workshop on Global Flood Monitoring and Modelling took place in Delft, the Netherlands, hosted by Deltares to discuss the state of the art in this new and multi-disciplinary field.

The 3rd International Workshop of the Global Flood Working Group on Global Flood Monitoring & Modelling was held from 4-6 March 2013 hosted by the Earth Systems Science Interdisciplinary Centre (ESSIC) of the University of Maryland, in College Park, MD, USA. The workshop is jointly organized by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (Dr. Tom De Groeve), the Dartmouth Flood Observatory (Prof. G. R. Brakenridge) and the University of Maryland (Dr. R. Adler).

The 4th meeting of the Global Flood Working Group will be kindly hosted by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, in Reading, United Kingdom from 4 to 6 March 2014. 

The 2015 Conference of the Global Flood Partnership will be kindly hosted by the Dartmouth Flood Observatory at university of Colorado and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research and NCAR, in Boulder, Colorado (USA), from 4-6 May 2015.

The conference follows the 4th meeting of the Global Flood Working Group, where the Global Flood Partnership was launched. 

We are pleased to announce that the registration for the next Global Flood Partnership Annual Meeting is open! This year's meeting will take place on 11 - 13 June 2019 in Guangzhou, China hosted by Sun Yat-sen University.
