At this years AGU 2018 Fall Meeting there will be two sessions that are organized partially by GFP participants and that relate to the GFP. We cordially invite you to submit an abstract to these sessions:

Session Title: H062. Global Floods: Forecasting, Monitoring, Risk Assessment, and Socioeconomic Response

Join the Global Flood Partnership at the upcoming Understanding Risk conference in Mexico City! This bi-annual conference brings together risk modelers and risk managers from around the world to discuss the state of the art in this field.

A number of GFP members will attend the American Geophysical Union on December 11-15, 2017 at New Orleans U.S.A.

After considering the outcomes of the GFP participant survey for the next location of the meeting and the different offers received to host the meeting, we are pleased to announce that the next Global Flood Partnership meeting will take place on 25 - 27 June 2018 in Delft, The Netherlands, hosted by Deltares.

Mark Trigg (University of Leeds) will co-chair a Special Session at the Seventh International Conference on Flood Management (ICFM7) together with Jeffrey Neal (University of Bristol) and Philip Ward (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam). The session is entitled "Global Flood Models: From theory to practice"
